We have tried to put as much useful information about Gables Barn as we can on this page, but if there is anything you would like to know, please just ask!
A. The price you pay is fully inclusive, and includes: fresh bed linen, first basket of firewood, visitor's guide, cleaning materials, cleaning service on departure, electricty, gas and water.
A. Yes. You will find a full dinner service for eight, cutlery, glasses, cookware, utensils, pots and pans etc. The kitchen has an eye-level double oven, halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. In the utility room you will find a washing machine, dryer, iron and freezer.
A. Gables Barn is not specifically designed for children, and there are possible hazards including an open-tread staircase, hard floors and of course the wood burner. However, you may to bring your children on this understanding.
A. Once your booking is confirmed, we will write to you with full details of how to access Gables Barn.
A. Yes, there is ample parking space right outside the front of the building.
A. One dog is allowed provided it is kept strictly to the living room and kitchen areas. Pets are NOT allowed in the bedrooms, and you may be asked to pay an extra cleaning bill if necessary due to soiling by pets.
A. Gables Barn is non-smoking, please go outside to smoke. There is an attractive enclosed garden to the rear of the cottage.
A. Gables Barn is fitted with the highest standards of appliances and wiring, but it is always possible that something will go wrong. Don't panic, just get in touch and we will have someone around to sort it out in no time!
A. No, cleaning is included in the price. However we would be grateful if you could wash up after yourself and put all your rubbish and recycling in the bins outside before departure.
A. To book online, simply visit the rates and availability page. Choose an available date from the calendar and click it to book through Google Checkout's secure online booking system. Once your payment is checked and accepted, your booking will be confirmed.
A. Yes. Please contact us to place your booking, then send your cheque, made out to "London Serviced Apartments" to Brookscroft House, 26 Second Avenue, London, E17 9QH, UK. Please note your booking is not final until the cheque clears, so Gables Barn may not immediately show as 'booked' on the website.
A. No, currently we do not take any damage deposit in advance, as we find the vast majority of our customers are considerate and honest. Help us to keep it that way by taking care of Gables Barn and letting us know if there are any problems or breakages during your stay.
A. Bookings cancelled more than 12 weeks in advanced will be refunded in full. Bookings cancelled between 12 and 6 weeks in advance will be refunded 75% of their value. Bookings cancelled between 4 weeks and 1 week in advance will be refunded to 25% of their value. Under 1 weeks notice, no refund can be given.
Please note that these terms only apply when you book with us directly on this website. If your booking is through English Country Cottages, then their terms and conditions apply.
A. Stays other than the standard week / weekend / midweek break are possible subject to availability. Please contact us with your requirements and we will try to fit you in and give you a fair price.
A. For part of the year, bookings for are managed by English Country Cottages. Gables Barn may well be available to book, see the English Country Cottages website for availability and bookings during these periods.
Note: if Gables Barn has NOT been booked through English Country Cottages at least two weeks in advance, then it will become available to book on this website again, at favorable rates. Hence it is always worth checking back here to see what is available!
